The Market Leader in In-store Broadcasting
Target Market Filtering.

The uniqueness of reaching your target market using Radio Retail is as easy as 1, 2, 3…

Radio Retail has the demographic profile of each and every store in which it is broadcasting. Which means, that Radio Retail has a breakdown defining the target market of each store. This enables an advertiser to filter the needed market from the necessary information to be able to target a specific market. The information is generally defined by:
  • REGION : Western Cape, Namibia, Gauteng, etc.
  • STORE TYPE : Shoprite, Checkers or CheckersHyper, Spar etc.
  • INCOME :The breakdown of the financial income group that shops in that specific store, for example in Checkers Table View, in the Western Cape, 80% of the customers are from the A-income group, 15% are from the BC-income group and 5% of the customers are from the CD-income group.
  • CULTURE : The culture breakdown, for example in Checkers Table View, 90% of the customers is white, 8% is coloured and Asian customers, and 2% is black customers.
  • LANGUAGE : What language is predominantly spoken in that specific store. For example, in Table View, the language is English.
How to go about selecting the stores:

As the footprint of the promotional campaign broadcasting is defined by the product being advertised, the campaign's broadcasting selection is defined by these criteria:
  • REGION
  • STORE TYPE
  • INCOME
  • CULTURE
  • LANGUAGE
Cross-referencing the stores in which the product is listed, a broadcasting store selection(based on the above mentioned criteria, as defined by the promoted product) is made. These stores will:
  1. be relevant to the product
  2. be relevant to consumers actually hearing the advertisement
As an example:

For this term you would like to promote a product by only focusing on the Western Cape's Checkers stores, targeting the top income group. This is where you would like to grow your business.

STEP 1: Define the criteria on the store selection:

Region : Western Cape
Store Type : Checkers
Income : A-income Group

The relevant store list, according to your criteria, will now be given.

STEP 2: In which language would you want to promote the product?

The language in which you would advertise, depends on your target market.

It is, for example, possible to advertise Colgate Herbal Toothpaste in English in ten selected Gauteng Stores, plus to advertise the same product in Sotho in five Eastern Cape stores, as well as in Afrikaans in ten selected stores in the Western Cape.

Radio Retail makes all this possible.

STEP 3: When would you like to advertise?

All the costs are based on a CPT (Cost per Thousand) of R2.54. Our Media Costing Schedule shows you exactly what traffic is in store at selected times. Therefore you can choose, depending on the profile of your product, when would be the ideal time to reach your target market.

The schedule is then compiled, to fulfil your exact needs.

The costs are given and you are only invoiced after the completion of the campaign. You also only pay for the stores in which we advertise your product.
